‘Works for Everyone’
Ranging from painterly landscapes of L.A.’s sun-bleached street corners to sculptural wooden installations, this TAG Gallery group show features work by Peter Kempson, Camey McGilvray and Shelley Adler. It should start the night off with poppy optimism.

‘Shangri-La: Architecture as a State of Flux’
This exhibit of whip-smart architectural art examining the historical trends in Los Angeles buildings might have you muttering, “Why so much stucco?”

‘The Art of Rebellion’
This group show dedicated to the rebel yell delivers work by Bob Dob, Shepard Fairey and Dave Trulli, plus DJs and an open bar, which promises to bring some feral energy to Bergamot Station. While there, take advantage of the many adjacent galleries’ wide-open doors.

‘Panaoramic Shots’
Olivier Pojzman made the leap from celebrity portraits to fine-art landscapes after needing something to decorate his house. Watch out for paparazzi outside waiting to see if any starlets show up at the newly opened Lurie Gallery. The show is free, but prepare to kick down for parking on the Strip. Don’t worry—you can make up the cost at the sponsored wine bar.

‘L.A. Myth 2009: Mythic Creations, Urban Legends and Twisted Visions’
Meltdown Comics, hosts a group show of industry artists’ original paintings, prints and sculpture—all of which orbit the theme of L.A. urban legends and mythologies. Look out for a piece depicting a giant squid eating the 405. Note: Bring quarters for the meters on Sunset.

‘Beauty Redefined’ book signing
Everyone’s favorite pierced hotties, the Suicide Girls, pose for Facebook pictures and sign copies of Beauty Redefined, their hefty pictorial tome of punk-chick erotica. (Can’t get enough of the girls? Head to the official Club Suicide after-party at the Dragonfly in Hollywood.)

Crewest gets down to basics with a collection of work celebrating graffiti artists’ most fundamental tool: the Sharpie. Man One curates this collection of drawings, stickers and sketchbooks set against a backdrop of live screen printing and sets by DJ PhyzEd.

‘Super/Natural’
For those craving bizarre sculptures of people mingling with opossums, this Chinatown gallery hosts an eyeful of the sometimes disturbing work of Kim Tucker. It’s weird stuff. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
